Scottish champions Celtic have added Reading captain Liam Moore on their defensive wishlist, according to the Daily Record.
The Hoops are scouring the transfer market for adding players to their defensive ranks and they have identified the 27-year-old as a potential summer signing.
It is understood that Shane Duffy remains a target for them, but considering the strong competition for the Seagulls defender, the Bhoys are putting more names to their summer shortlist.
The report claims that the centre-back is valued at £4.5million by the Championship side, but there could be room for some bargaining and the Royals are looking to sell their top wage earners due to their financial difficulties.
The defender began his youth career at Leicester City and rose through its ranks to earn 67 senior appearances for the Foxes, scoring one goal and creating three assists.
Following his loan spells at Bradford City, Brentford and Bristol City, he landed a move to Reading where he has so far clocked up 181 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and creating three assists.
The Bhoys may never get a leader like their present skipper Scott Brown, but they could greatly benefit from having a senior figure like Moore in their dressing room.
Duffy has the top-level experience and looks less of a gamble if they manage to hire his services, however, Liam is also a greatly talented player who has the potential to play on a bigger stage.
