Serie A giants Juventus want to sell their stopper Mattia Perin to Fulham, with the Italian champions looking to complete an £11 million deal for the player, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The report further claims that the Turin based side are looking to sell many of their players to English clubs ahead of the new campaign. They want to sell Aaron Ramsey and Federico Bernardeschi to the likes of West Ham, Wolves and Crystal Palace while keeper Perin is to be offered to the Cottagers.
Scott Parker’s side currently have both Marek Rodak and Marcus Bettinelli as goalkeepers, however, they could be open to signing a new goalie ahead of the new campaign.
The 27-year-old is an academy product of Italian side Genoa where he went to make 148 league appearances for the senior team.
He joined Juventus in the summer of 2018 by signing a four-year contract with them, however, he returned to the Red and Blues in January this year for a short loan spell.
So far, he has earned nine league appearances for Juventus, plus he has also made two appearances for the national side.
The Lilywhites will spend a little this transfer window but it is unlikely that they will make the same mistake of splashing a lot of money on players who could be risky for them.
Mattia looks like one such player who has not really been tested at the very highest level and therefore it looks premature to say anything with certainty about him.
So, while the Old Lady wants to offload the player, the English club would do well if they save this money and invest it somewhere else.
