Leeds United want to sign Arsenal wonderkid Sam Greenwood but they are reportedly facing a lot of competition from other top clubs, according to Leeds Live.
The report claims that the West Yorkshire side do lead the transfer race for the youngster, but they might not find things easy for them.
It is said that top clubs in the likes of Manchester United and AC Milan are interested in the services of the forward, who is regarded as a hugely talented Arsenal academy product.
The 18-year-old has been greatly improving his skills in the club’s youth ranks following his arrival from League One side Sunderland and so far has netted 22 goals since U18 level.
He has also represented his country at youth international level, with 15 goals to his name in 20 appearances for the U17/18s.
Signing the youngster could potentially cost the Whites as high as £3 million with add-ons and they would get the services of one of the best young forwards in English football.
It is understood that if the move becomes successful, then the 18-year-old would initially become part of their U23 squad before getting first-team opportunities if he performs well.
Despite transfer interest from the Red Devils and Milan, the Peacocks will surely be confident that they can get the signature of the forward as they have done business with the Gunners a year ago.
They signed Eddie Nketiah on loan last summer before he was recalled to the Emirates in January, and now they will be looking to convince the Premier League side to let their young talent join Elland Road this summer.
