Leeds United look very busy in the current transfer market as the Whites have started talks with Udinese to sign attacking midfielder Rodrigo De Paul, according to Goal.com.
According to the report, the White and Blacks are asking for €30 million for the Argentine footballer who is also being watched by other clubs in Italy.
The 26-year-old penned a contract extension with the Serie A side last October and is tied to Stadio Friuli until 2024.
He started his career by joining the youth ranks of Racing Club where he went on to make 54 league appearances for the senior team, scoring 6 goals.
The Argentine footballer landed a move to Valencia in 2014 but didn’t stay long in Spain and was transferred to Udinese in the summer of 2016 where he has clocked up 146 appearances in all competitions so far, scoring 25 goals.
The attacking midfielder has also earned 17 caps for Argentina, with the footballer part of the national squad that finished third in the Copa America 2019.
The Peacocks are looking to strengthen their ranks ahead of the 2020-21 Premier League season and they have identified De Paul as a good fit for them.
The player is said to be Marcelo Bielsa’s top midfield target and he could become the next signing for the West Yorkshire side.
The Championship winners signed striker Rodrigo Moreno from Valencia for €30m earlier this week before announcing the arrival of Robin Koch from Freiburg for £13 million.
