Leeds United preparing to make a bid for Iranian footballer Milad Mohammadi

Leeds United are preparing to make a bid for KAA Gent defender Milad Mohammadi, as per Football Insider

The 26-year-old has earned 34 caps for the Iran national football team and has experience of playing for the Russian side Akhmat Grozny.

He joined the Belgian side in July 2019 and has so far earned 24 appearances for the club.

Jess Thorup featured him regularly for the team’s Europa League matches, with the Iranian racking up four appearances as his side made it to the Round of 32.

The report further claims that the Whites would have to spend around £6.3 million for the defender.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are yet to make a big signing since they secured promotion to the Premier League. The Peacocks remained out of the top division for 16 years, but now they have achieved their mission after giving a great performance this season.

The West Yorkshire side have many attacking options (although they still need a striker) and so they will be looking to bolster their defensive ranks for playing in the top flight next campaign.

Mohammadi is a very talented player who still has some years to offer, and if the Whites manage to secure his services then it could be a very successful signing for the club.
