Leeds United are interested in signing Leganes left-back Jonathan Silva this transfer window, as per AS report.
The report claims that Silva’s future with Los Pepineros is looking uncertain after the club suffered relegation to the Segunda Division.
He has earned 33 league appearances this campaign for the Madrid-based side, with one goal and two assists to his name too.
The 26-year-old mainly plays as a left-back but can also show his skills further forward on the left-wing, and can be used as a centre-back.
The Whites are preparing for life back in the top division after a wait of 16 years.
They have not made any marquee signing yet, however, they have handed permanent contracts to Helder Costa and Illan Meslier.
Stuart Dallas was spectacular last campaign, while Barry Douglas and Gjanni Alioski also did a decent job for the Peacocks.
However, they will be playing in the Premier League next season and the Argentine manager Marcelo Bielsa may be tempted to strengthen his ranks this transfer window.
The West Yorkshire side have been linked with a lot of players in recent weeks, but at the moment it is uncertain who they will actually sign this summer.
