Leicester City are considering a move for Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico as a replacement for Ben Chilwell who is close to signing for Chelsea, as per the Daily Mail.
The Argentine footballer has several offers and would want to sign for a Champions League side but acknowledges the Foxes as a Premier League contender.
He joined the Dutch club in 2018 from Independiente, and so far he has earned 99 appearances in all competitions for the Amsterdam based club, scoring 12 goals and creating 15 assists.
The 27-year-old also clocked up 24 league appearances last season, with three goals and four assists to his name.
He can also boast of earning 25 caps for the national side, with the footballer named in the national squad for both the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 Copa America.
Now with his current contract expiring in 2022, some of the top European clubs are trying to hire his services. He has already been linked with a move to La Liga clubs Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are also interested in his services this transfer window, with Turkish player Ozan Kabak on their radar.
The Schalke defender could team up with his fellow Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu at the King Power Stadium, with the Foxes cautious that they could also lose Jonny Evans this summer to another Premier League side.
