Swansea City close to signing talented Wolves youngster

Swansea City are close to signing Wolves youngster Morgan Gibbs-White on loan ahead of the new campaign, according to Football League World

The 20-year-old made 16 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side last campaign, however, he just started once in the Premier League while his other six top-flight appearances came in the matches when he was featured as a substitute.

With the Wanderers failing to secure European football for the upcoming season, it looks that the talented youngster wouldn’t get enough football action, and now he is ready to join the Swans temporarily.

If he completes the move, then that will see him reunited with former England youth coach Steve Cooper at the Liberty Stadium.

The English footballer was a member of the England U17 squad that claimed the World Cup in 2017 under the guidance of the Welsh manager and he even netted a goal in the final, so the current Swansea chief knows him well.

Last season, the Jacks signed Rhian Brewster, Conor Gallagher, and Marc Guehi on loan to work under Cooper and now Gibbs-White could become the latest talented youngster to join the Liberty Stadium.

The move seems a perfect fit for all parties. The player needs more game time and that doesn’t seem to happen at Molineux Stadium, so moving looks like a good option for him. Wolves would be happy to see their player getting experience at a good level.

While the Championship side could avail the services of a technically gifted player who could help them win promotion back to the top-flight.
