Watford star Gerard Deulofeu wants to return to AC Milan as he has sent messages to the Italian club, as per SempreMilan.
The 26-year-old joined Milan from Everton in 2017 on a loan deal which saw him scoring four goals in 18 appearances.
Many sources suggested that the Serie A side would make the deal permanent, but that couldn’t happen as the player’s former employers Barcelona activated their buy-back clause and brought him back to Catalonia.
After struggling for game time at Barca, the Spanish footballer joined Watford in January 2018, initially on a loan deal which was later made permanent.
But now that the Hornets have been relegated to the Championship, the talented forward is expected to leave the English club.
The report says that the 26-year-old is sending messages to the Rossoneri and showing that he is desirous of returning to San Siro.
Stefano Pioli’s side have not said no, but they remain vigilant regarding the forward’s return to San Siro.
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato, Deulofeu is desirous of returning to his former club and has even asked his agent to probe about a possible deal.
