Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey is reportedly keen on joining Arsenal and work with Spanish boss Mikel Arteta.
There has been a lot of discussions in the media about the 27-year-old and how much the Gunners want him and think he can bring good changes.
Although there hasn’t been a lot of reports about how the Ghana international feel about moving to the Emirates Stadium. But he now has now opened up about his feelings.
According to Goal.com, the experienced player is keen to leave Madrid for London, but the English side have first to raise some funds.
Diego Simeone’s side are insistent they will only allow the player to leave if his £45 million release clause is met.
A lot of Arsenal players have been linked with exits from the Emirates Stadium this summer which could help in completing the deal for the 27-year-old.
Selling any of their players, Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Shkodran Mustafi or Ainsley Maitland-Niles, could help raise the funds for hiring Partey.
The Gunners have seen great improvement in their performances in recent months, and it doesn’t look very unlikely if the Ghanaian footballer is interested to join because of the way the team is playing under Mikel Arteta.
If the Goal report has any truth to it, then it could encourage them to offload any of their players to raise the required money.
Although they will have to do some extra effort, Partey’s signing looks totally worth it for the London side who looks in need of a player like him.
