Scottish giants Celtic are reportedly eyeing a move for Finnish footballer Jere Uronen to bolster their ranks this summer.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Bhoys are one of a number of clubs who are interested to hire the services of the 26-year-old.
The report says that the Scottish side have the ‘most concrete interest’ in the Finland international, however, the Genk player is also said to be on the radar of clubs in Italy and Germany.
The Hoops have permitted Boli Bolingoli to leave for Turkish side Basaksehir following his coronavirus breach, and now they are said to be searching for another left-back to compete Greg Taylor for a place in the senior team.
The defender was an important member of the Finland national side that won the qualification for the European Championships. He has earned 40 caps for Huuhkajat so far, with a goal to his name too.
He joined the Belgian side Genk in January 2016 and has clocked up 149 appearances in all competitions so far, scoring five goals and creating 13 assists.
The experienced defender made 21 total appearances for the Smurfs last campaign. However, his place in the first team has come under threat after the club signed Mexican footballer Gerardo Arteaga from Santos Laguna this summer.
Any transfer fee hasn’t been mentioned in the report, however, Neil Lennon’s side will be hoping that they can land the player at a reduced rate to help them win their 10th consecutive league title.
