Crysencio Summerville has posted a message on social media after signing for Leeds United from Feyenoord in a deal worth around £900,000, and his fellow countryman Leroy Fer replied to his post and wished him luck, as per The Boot Room.
The winger joined the Whites following a brilliant 2019-20 season in which he shone for Ado Den Haag while on loan at the Eredivisie side. Even at the age of 18, he clocked up 22 senior appearances for the Dutch side and smashed two goals.
That sparked the interest of the Peacocks who have now completed the signing.
The newly-promoted side have already added many youngsters to strengthen their U23 squad, including Joe Gelhardt, Dani van den Heuvel, Sam Greenwood, Cody Drameh and Charlie Allen.
And Summerville is the latest signing of the Whites, and as per journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the deal was finalized for a fee of £900,000.
Although the 18-year-old will face tough competition to break into the first team with the club having the options of Jack Harrison, Helder Costa and Pablo Hernandez while they are also said to be pursuing Udinese skipper Rodrigo De Paul.
The youngster will have to play for the club’s U23 side for a year or two, and then he can hope for first-team football if he does well.
Replying to Crysencio’s post, Fer commented: “Good luck brother”.
