Serie A side Fiorentina are reportedly interested to sign Rangers player Alfredo Morelos. According to Foot Mercato, the Colombia international has sparked interest from La Viola who are scouring the market to hire a new number nine this summer.
The 24-year-old is said to be their top target this window, however, they will have to meet around £18 million fee to land the talented striker.
If the Italian side wishes to sign the Colombian footballer, then they will need to sell some players. Morelos hasn’t been featured by boss Steven Gerrard in the Gers’ previous two matches as he remained an unused substitute.
He made 47 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish side last campaign, scoring 29 goals and creating 10 assists. So far, he has earned 142 total appearances for his current club and smashed 79 goals.
The Light Blues should continue their stance and demand £18 million transfer fee for the forward.
Considering Moussa Dembele departed Celtic for £19.7 million (as per Sky Sports), the Gers’ asking fee for their striker looks reasonable.
Rangers need a player like Alfredo in their team if they want to stop the Bhoys from claiming their 10th consecutive league title.
But at the same time, the newcomer Kemar Roofe has made a good start for them, and the raised funds from the Colombia international can help towards improving other areas of their team.
