According to Goal.com, Juventus have terminated the contract of Gonzalo Higuain, and now he is close to signing for Inter Miami on a two-season deal.
The Argentine, who joined the Serie A side in 2016 for an enormous transfer fee of €90 million, has seen the end of his career with the Old Lady as he makes his preparations to move to the MLS this summer.
The 32-year-old, who said goodbye to his international career last year, was hired from Napoli after his record-breaking season at Stadio San Paolo, and his first two seasons with the Bianconeri were impressive.
However, the 2018-19 season saw him loaned to Milan first and then Chelsea following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
Though he returned to Allianz Stadium last summer to play under his former boss Maurizio Sarri, he failed to impress his new coach Andrea Pirlo and it was said that he was considering a number of options.
Now the Goal report says that he is set to join David Beckham’s Inter Miami, agreeing on personal terms with the Herons.
Higuain started his career at River Plate in 2005, and later joined Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2007 where he garnered domestic successes with Los Blancos before moving to Napoli in 2013.
The Argentine forward claimed three Serie A titles with Juventus, while he was also part of the team that made it to the 2017 Champions League final in Cardiff.
