Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool want to sign Barcelona forward

Premier League sides Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal want to hire the services of Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The World Cup winner had a mediocre first season at the Catalans, although he found himself on the scoresheet fifteen times for the Spanish side. The 29-year-old joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid last summer, costing the club a huge £107 million.

With Lionel Messi seemingly agreed to remain in Catalunya for the next campaign, it could reduce opportunities for the forward at Camp Nou. He doesn’t seem to be a part of Ronald Koeman’s plans and that could interest the Gunners and the Reds.

Mikel Arteta’s side have strengthened their ranks this summer by signing Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes while getting Dani Ceballos on loan again. If they were to hire any more players this window, they would likely have to sell someone first.

Liverpool, on the other hand, doesn’t look likely that they will spend a huge amount for brining Griezmann to Anfield, especially if we take into account their Premier League title victory last campaign.

Roberto Firmino has been spectacular for Liverpool, and it looks improbable that Jurgen Klopp will want to replace the Brazilian. Considering all these things, both English sides seem likely to make efforts for signing the Frenchman on loan first.

The player is thought to be receiving £359,000-a-week at Camp Nou and right now, any transfer move might not be imminent.
